Davis, who helped the Lakers secure the 2020 NBA championship, said he had no idea the trade was happening and felt disrespected by the team's silence.
According to Davis, his agent informed him of the move, and even his personal cook had already heard the news before he could process it himself.
Davis claimed he was completely unaware of the deal beforehand and that the call he received was just 10 minutes prior to the trade announcement.
He pointed out that he had earned more respect from the Lakers after six years of service and delivering a championship, and that he has never been able to forget how the situation was handled.
