Asian Games 2026 Day 4 Highlights: The day 4 of the Asian Games was not as productive as the first few days of action. Yet, the biggest achievement of the campaign till now was achieved on September 22, as the Indian women's cricket team retained their gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka by 147 runs in the final. This was the countrys first gold at the continental event.Elsewhere, the Indian badminton men's team defeated Japan in the quarter-final as Lakshya Sen, Satwik-Chirag and Ayush Shetty pulled off sensational performances to reach the semi-final and assure a medal.Another medal was assured in wushu, as Roshibina Devi defeated Macau, China's Chu Man Sin to enter the semi-final of the 69kg Sanda Wushu category.It was a day of heartbreak for the Indian women's badminton and table tennis teams as they were defeated by Japan and North Korea respectively in the quarter-finals. They thus missed medals by a whisker.
