Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has responded to Manchester United's Michael Carrick, who criticized the referee for denying his team a second penalty in their 2-2 draw.
Iraola disagreed with United's appeals for a second penalty, stating that the Amad Diallo incident was 'never a penalty.' He also believed that the Evanilson and Matheus Cunha penalties were correctly awarded.
Carrick had slammed the referee for giving one penalty and not the other, calling it 'crazy' and 'astonishing.'
Iraola added that the referee's decision not to give the second penalty was not a major issue, saying 'I don't think there is much to discuss.'
United took the lead through Bruno Fernandes's penalty, but Bournemouth equalized through Ryan Christie. The game ended in chaos after James Hull's own goal and Harry Maguire's red card, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
