Briton Lindblad Brings Indian Roots to F1 Grid

Arvid Lindblad, the 18-year-old Briton, is set to make his Formula 1 debut in 2026 with Racing Bulls. Lindblad's maternal grandparents moved to Britain around 50 years ago, and he has been visiting India for the last few years to explore his Indian heritage.
Lindblad, who has been brought up with many Indian traditions and culture, is proud of his roots and plans to bring a bit of India back to the F1 grid.
The young driver has quickly climbed the junior ranks, winning championships at the karting level and being inducted into the Red Bull junior programme in 2021. He finished fourth in the 2024 Formula 3 season and sixth in the 2025 Formula 2 championship.
Lindblad will be racing alongside seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton and four-time world champion Max Verstappen this season. He has a friendly relationship with Verstappen, who has helped him understand the nuances of driving at the top level.
