India A cricket team, led by Tilak Varma, achieved a healthy 319 for nine against Afghanistan A in a tri-series One-day match in Dambulla. The team's innings was propelled by well-timed half-centuries from Tilak, Priyansh Arya, and Kumar Kushagra.
India A started strongly, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Arya adding 75 runs for the opening wicket in just eight overs. However, the run-rate dipped as the innings progressed, and the deck slowed down.
Tilak and Kushagra added 104 runs for the fourth wicket, steadying India's innings. Despite this, they often scored under five or a little over five an over. Kushagra got out while giving a charge to pacer Dawoodzai, and Tilak's booming drive ended in the hands of stumper Ishaq.
Vipraj Nigam played a cameo to take India past the 300-run mark, securing a total of 319 for nine in 50 overs.
