Indian archers have made a strong impression at the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament Stage 1, securing two bronze medals and reaching the finals of the men's recurve and women's compound team events.
The women's compound team, comprising Chikitha Taniparthi, Raj Kaur, and Tejal Salve, improved upon their previous edition's bronze by reaching the final, where they will face third-seeded Kazakhstan.
However, the men's compound team, featuring Rajat Chauhan, Rishabh Yadav, and Uday Kamboj, failed to defend their title, settling for a bronze after a narrow defeat to Vietnam in the semifinals.
India's recurve section saw the men's team, consisting of Devaang Gupta, Sukhchain Singh, and Juyel Sarkar, enter the final with a 5-1 win over Malaysia, while the women's recurve team, comprising Ruma Biswas, Kirti, and Ridhi Phor, secured a bronze medal with a 5-1 victory over Malaysia.
