Racing prodigy Atiqa Mir continues to make waves in the karting world, securing the highest-ever finish by an Indian in her category at the World Series Karting with a stellar P2 in Race 1 in Lonato, Italy.
The 11-year-old, supported by Formula 1 Academy and the highest-ranked female worldwide in the OKNJ category, showcased scorching speed in the opening race of the WSK Euro Series Round 2.
This achievement marks the second time a female has finished P2 in an OKNJ class race at WSK, and Atiqa's performances have been turning heads on the European circuit.
Notably, Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff and star driver George Russell were among the spectators watching Atiqa's impressive display.
Although Atiqa faced some incident-filled races throughout the weekend, including nosecone penalties, she remains optimistic, reflecting on the positives and preparing for her biggest race yet in two weeks' time.
