Around 2,000 hospitality workers at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium have voted to authorize a strike, with 96% of voting members in favor.

The strike could occur at any time, including the US national team's opening World Cup match against Paraguay on June 12.

Workers are demanding higher wages, better working conditions, and an end to the collection of sensitive personal information.

The strike would be an embarrassment for Los Angeles as it gears up to host eight World Cup matches, the 2027 Super Bowl, and the 2028 Olympics.
