Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers received a significant boost ahead of their game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday, as the NBA overturned the Slovenian star's 16th technical foul, which would have suspended him for one game.
Doncic, who was listed as questionable due to a hip injury, along with LeBron James (foot) and Austin Reaves (forearm), were all cleared to play on Thursday.
The technical foul was issued during the Lakers' win over the Orlando Magic, when Doncic and center Goga Bitadze were hit with a double technical following a brief on-court exchange.
Doncic has narrowly avoided suspension due to technical fouls in the past, and the Lakers quickly filed an appeal, leading to the NBA's decision on Sunday.
Meanwhile, LeBron James etched his name deeper into NBA history by surpassing Robert Parish for the most games played in league history, with 1,612 career games.
