New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers expressed confusion over the team's first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, specifically the selection of Ohio State edge rusher Arvell Reese at No. 5 and Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa at No. 10.

Nabers respected Reese as a player but questioned where he fit on the Giants' defense, stating, 'You want to rush from the outside, yet we just drafted somebody last year for that same role.'

He had hoped the Giants would take up Caleb Downs with one of their own picks, believing it would have helped the team. Downs was later selected by the Dallas Cowboys at No. 11.

On the Giants' pick of Mauigoa, Nabers said he liked the idea of help on the offensive line but had doubts about the choice, wanting to see him 'come in and be great.'
