The Dallas Cowboys may have missed out on Maxx Crosby, but a new opportunity could be on the horizon. Cleveland Browns star edge-rusher Myles Garrett has made changes to his contract, moving option dates from late March to early September, sparking speculation about a potential trade.

Garrett's incredible 2025 season, where he set a new record with 23 sacks and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has made him a highly sought-after player. The Cowboys, who are in the market for a pass-rusher, could be in a strong position to acquire him, especially with their two first-round picks this year.

However, the cost of acquiring Garrett would likely be high, with the Browns potentially asking for a big return in draft picks. The Cowboys could try to negotiate a deal, offering pick Number 12 and Number 92 in 2026, along with a first-round pick in 2027 and possibly another asset.

It's still early, and Garrett has a no-trade clause, so nothing can happen without his approval. But with a possible trade window opening and the Cowboys already looking for a pass-rusher, the situation is becoming very interesting.
