New Delhi: Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra will travel to Turkey to prepare for the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. He will be joined by his physiotherapist Ishaan Marwaha and coach Jai Choudhary.

The Mission Olympic Cell has sanctioned ₹35,83,930 towards 55 days of training at Gloria Sports Arena, Turkey, starting April 1.

Chopra will also receive ₹57 lakh to cover the salaries of Ishaan and coach Choudhary for one year, starting February 1, 2026.

Chopra likes to open his season at the Doha Diamond League, but it remains to be seen whether the event can be held amid the ongoing war in West Asia.

He has joined forces with coach Chaudhary, who trained him in his formative years, after parting ways with Czech coach Jan Zelezny earlier this year.

The MOC has also approved the training plans of Avinash Sable and Parul Chaudhary, who will be based in Ooty for off-season high-altitude training under coach Kalyan Chaudhary.

Tennis player Vaidehee Chaudhari has also received financial assistance towards participation in international tournaments, including ITF women’s tournaments across Australia, Africa, Europe, and the USA.
