NFL reporter Dianna Russini has shared a new career update on social media, hours after resigning from The Athletic. The move comes amid an internal investigation by The New York Times' sports section into published photos of Russini and New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel.

The controversy surrounds images of the two at a resort in Sedona, Arizona, showing them hugging, holding hands and sitting in a hot tub together. Both are married and have children.

Russini, 43, denied any wrongdoing in her resignation letter, stating she refuses to let the controversy define her career. She has since linked her social media profiles to a new career path.

The Athletic supported Russini initially, but she chose to step aside before her contract expired on June 30. A report linked her to Barstool Sports, with founder Dave Portnoy slamming The Athletic's decision.
