Jolyon Palmer has warned Max Verstappen about his negative attitude at Red Bull, claiming rookie Isack Hadjar could soon lead the struggling team.

Verstappen has slammed the new F1 technical regulations, expressing deep frustration with the current energy management systems, and hinted he might walk away from the sport very soon.

The Dutch driver believes the new cars require too much patience and complex management tactics, and he simply wants to drive the car in an aggressive and traditional way.

However, Isack Hadjar has delivered a strong performance during his debut weekend in Australia, qualifying in 3rd position while Verstappen struggled with the car balance.

Palmer noted that Hadjar could establish a stronghold within the garage now, and the young driver brings enthusiasm that the world champion currently lacks in races.

The team dynamic is shifting as the rookie shows more pace and passion, and Palmer claims Verstappen is not in the right headspace, wanting to drive the car in old ways and not enjoying racing it at all.
