Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah expressed his disappointment and frustration after being left on the bench in their 3-3 draw with Leeds United. The Egyptian superstar, who has been instrumental in the Reds' success, feels he's being scapegoated for the team's poor start to the season. Salah, who has scored 250 goals for Liverpool since joining the club in 2017, feels his relationship with manager Arne Slot has broken down. He believes the club is pushing him out, citing promises made in the summer that haven't been fulfilled. The 33-year-old has been a key player for Liverpool, scoring 34 goals and providing 18 assists in 52 games last season. However, he's managed just five goals and three assists in 19 games this campaign. Salah's future at Anfield is now uncertain, and he may soon bid farewell to the fans as he heads to the Africa Cup of Nations. "I've done so much for this club, and I don't think I'm the problem," Salah said. "I've earned my place on the team, and it's not acceptable for me to be constantly fighting for my position. I don't know what's going to happen now, but I'm prepared to say goodbye to the fans and move on.
