The Sports Ministry has announced plans to deploy IT consultants in National Sports Federations to enhance their digital systems ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad.

The initiative aims to streamline federation-specific digital systems, improve planning for competitions, national coaching camps, athlete participation, and real-time coordination.

The IT consultants will assist NSFs in areas such as annual calendar creation, athlete and official nominations, annual renewal submissions, and tournament result uploads.

The move is expected to improve efficiency in competition participation planning, national camp management, and athlete development, while reducing operational coordination gaps and strengthening data quality.

The Sports Ministry has already operationalised several platforms, including the Annual Renewal portal, Games Management System, and National Sports Repository System, which have improved transparency, accountability, and governance processes across the sports ecosystem.
