Tennessee Titans All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $105.8 million, making him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history.
The deal features $100 million in guaranteed money, surpassing previous records for defensive tackles.
Simmons, 28, has spent his entire seven-year career with the Titans, earning Pro Bowl selections in four of the last five seasons.
The team plans to rotate Simmons for freshness, with new head coach Robert Saleh aiming to keep him ready for critical situations.
