Tim Ream led the US team into the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup as the host nation beat Paraguay 4-1.

Ream, 38, had given up on his soccer dream 3 years ago but was called back to the team and has now become the oldest player to ever appear for the U.S. at a men's World Cup.

He had to make a difficult choice between taking his family to Disney World and playing in the World Cup, but ultimately decided to pursue his dream.

Ream's journey to the World Cup was a long one, rising from youth clubs to Saint Louis University and eventually being drafted by the New York Red Bulls.

He spent more than a decade bouncing between the Premier League and the second tier in England before being called back to the USMNT in 2019.

Ream's leadership and experience have made him a valuable asset to the team, with fellow players Sergiño Dest and Miles Robinson praising his calm and all-knowing nature.
