New Delhi: Shruti Vora and Fouaad Mirza have been named in India's 19-member equestrian squad for the Asian Games in Japan. Vora, a 55-year-old veteran, will lead the dressage team and ride Magnanimous. This will be her third Asian Games, having participated in 2010 Guangzhou and 2014 Incheon.

Vora won three silver medals at the 2025 Asian Championships and became the first Indian to win a three-star Grand Prix event in 2024. She will be accompanied by Gaurav Pundir, Jai Sud, Hriday Chheda, and others in the dressage team.

Mirza, a double silver medallist from the 2018 Asian Games, makes a comeback to the side in his pet eventing discipline. The show jumping team will be represented by Maryk Sahney, Abhishek Chopra, Yashaan Zubin Khambatta, and others.

Equestrian has been part of Asian Games since 1982, and India have won 14 medals in the continental Games.
