West Coast college baseball enthusiasts are basking in the glory of their teams' torrid starts to the season. UCLA, Southern California, and Oregon have combined to win 53 of their first 59 games, a testament to their dominance.

The Bruins, Trojans, and Ducks have been on a roll, with UCLA out to its best conference start since 1977, USC setting a program record with a 19-0 start, and Oregon winning six straight after a thrilling walk-off win over Indiana.

UCLA boasts a projected No. 1 pick in the MLB amateur draft in shortstop Roch Cholowsky, while USC has been nails on the mound and in the field, leading the nation with a 1.61 ERA and 4.79 hits allowed per nine innings.

LSU, the defending national champions, have struggled, losing seven of 13 games and falling out of the rankings. Meanwhile, other teams like Texas, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina are making waves with their impressive performances.
