The 2026 Major League Baseball season has kicked off with the New York Yankees taking on the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Max Fried will start for the Yankees, while Logan Webb will lead the Giants for the fifth consecutive Opening Day.
The first game of the season will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 8pm ET (5pm PT) and will be streamed live on Netflix. The pregame show starts at 7pm ET.
Opening Night is just the start, with 11 games scheduled for Thursday, March 26, including a matchup between the Pirates and the Mets, and the Dodgers facing the Arizona Diamondbacks.
For the rest of the week, the remaining six teams will play their first games, including the Toronto Blue Jays facing the Oakland Athletics on Friday, March 27.
