Jakub Mensik and Mirra Andreeva made history at the French Open, becoming the youngest Czech and Russian players to reach the semi-finals respectively.
Mensik, 20, defeated Brazilian breakout star Joao Fonseca 6-4 6-3 7-6(3) to book a last-four clash with title favourite Alexander Zverev.
Andreeva, 19, returned to the semi-finals with a 6-0 6-3 win over practice partner Sorana Cirstea, keeping her superb Roland Garros run going.
The semi-finals will unfold against a backdrop of politics, with Marta Kostyuk set to face Andreeva after she won an all-Ukrainian clash with Elina Svitolina 6-3 2-6 6-2.
Kostyuk sharply criticised Russian players and their silence over the war in Ukraine, saying they have a responsibility to speak out.
