Tripura Royal and Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma and Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Shri Runiel Debbarma, met Tripura Governor Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu at Lok Bhavan in Agartala on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed several important issues concerning the functioning, administration and development of the TTAADC and the welfare of indigenous communities in Tripura.
A key issue raised during the meeting was the pending bills passed by the TTAADC. Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma and CEM Runiel Debbarma requested the Governor to consider and provide assent to the bills at the earliest, stressing the importance of the legislation for the effective functioning of the autonomous council.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss matters related to the interests and development of the tribal population under the jurisdiction of the TTAADC.
The meeting assumes significance amid continued efforts to strengthen the constitutional and administrative functioning of the autonomous council. The leaders expressed hope that the pending bills would receive early consideration and necessary action.
