Tripura CM Manik Saha distributes toolkits to trained Bru community members in Amarpur, supporting skill development, self-employment and economic empowerment.

The Tripura government has reiterated its commitment to the socio-economic development and empowerment of the Bru community by creating sustainable employment and self-employment opportunities through skill development and vocational training.

A program organized by the Directorate of Skill Development was held in Amarpur, Tripura, where Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed over toolkits to trained members of the Bru community. The initiative is aimed at helping trained individuals utilize their skills to start income-generating activities and move towards greater economic self-reliance.

Speaking on the importance of such initiatives, the government emphasized that skill development and access to necessary tools can play a significant role in improving livelihoods and strengthening the economic condition of marginalized communities. The distribution of toolkits is expected to provide beneficiaries with practical support to begin or expand self-employment activities.

The program also highlighted the government’s broader efforts to ensure that members of the Bru community receive opportunities for training, employment and livelihood development.

The Chief Minister, along with the Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and other dignitaries, attended the event. Their presence reflected the importance being given to initiatives focused on inclusive development and community empowerment.
