West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Dr. Vishal Kumar, IAS, inspected several flood-affected areas in Mandwai this morning to assess the ground situation and review the relief and response measures being undertaken by the district administration.
The DM was accompanied by the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) during the field visit. Officials assessed the prevailing situation and reviewed the arrangements made for the safety and assistance of residents in the affected areas.
According to the district administration, the situation in Mandwai is currently under control. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams have been deployed, while boats and ‘Aapda Mitra’ volunteers are also assisting in emergency response and relief operations.
The district administration is maintaining close monitoring of the situation and is taking necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of people living in vulnerable areas.
During the inspection, Dr. Vishal Kumar also interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns. He discussed various issues affecting the community and assured residents that the administration would take appropriate measures to address their needs.
The administration has urged residents to remain alert and cooperate with the response teams while the situation continues to be closely monitored.
