Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has reached a historic milestone of 500 million tonnes of cargo handled, marking a significant growth momentum for the company.
APSEZ, India's largest integrated transport utility, aims to reach 1 billion tonnes of cargo handling by 2030. Chairman Gautam Adani hailed the achievement as a 'defining moment' showcasing India's infrastructure-led transformation.
Adani expressed gratitude to the company's customers, partners, and employees whose dedication made this milestone possible. He also appreciated the central and state governments for their policies and commitment to infrastructure.
APSEZ started operating in 1998 with a single-port vision and has since expanded to 19 ports and terminals across India and other countries. The company has taken 16 years to reach its first 100 million tonnes of cargo handling, with each subsequent milestone achieved faster than the last.
APSEZ operates 15 ports across 11,000 km of the Indian coastline and four international ports on the strategic East–West global corridor, including 12 multimodal logistics parks.
