Reliance Industries Ltd. is pivoting operations at its Jamnagar refinery to prioritise domestic fuel needs as the Iran war threatens global energy stability.
The company will maximise LPG production and divert natural gas from its KG-D6 block to 'priority sectors' to shield Indian households from price volatility and supply shortages.
Reliance's Jamnagar facility is central to this effort, with the company working around the clock to optimise refinery operations and enhance LPG output.
Natural gas produced from the KG-D6 basin will be diverted to support the government's allocation priorities, favouring fertiliser plants, power generation, and city gas distribution over commercial industries.
This shift underscores India's national interest over exports and the war-induced volatility in global energy markets.
