Tripura Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma inaugurated 21 development projects and laid the foundation stone for a multi-storey shopping complex with parking facilities at Subhash Park in Khowai on Wednesday, marking another step towards strengthening infrastructure and public amenities in the district.
The development initiatives cover various sectors, including road connectivity, educational infrastructure and public welfare facilities, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. The proposed shopping complex is expected to support local commercial activities while providing improved facilities for traders and visitors.
Addressing the importance of development, the Chief Minister emphasized that progress should not be measured merely by the size of buildings or infrastructure but by the positive impact on people's lives. He stressed the need to create employment opportunities for young people, support local businesses and ensure that the benefits of development reach every section of society.
Expressing pride in the ongoing initiatives in Khowai, the Chief Minister highlighted his connection with the district and reaffirmed his commitment to the overall development of Tripura.
He called for collective efforts to build a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous Khowai, contributing to the state's broader development goals. The initiatives reflect the government's focus on improving infrastructure, promoting economic activities and ensuring people-centred development across Tripura.
