Actor Prakash Raj has expressed his support for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, calling it a 'rocking' success. The protest, led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged lapses in examinations and recruitment tests.
Prakash Raj, who couldn't attend the protest due to prior work commitments, praised the movement and its supporters, including activist Sonam Wangchuk. Wangchuk had backed the youth-led protest and was present at the Jantar Mantar protest, where hundreds of protesters gathered to demand Pradhan's resignation.
The CJP raised several slogans demanding Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak case, the CBSE's on-screen marking system-related alleged irregularities, and other alleged examination-related lapses. Dipke addressed the crowd, urging them not to be scared and to continue their struggle for a better education system.
Wangchuk had spoken with Dipke and sought assurance that the movement reflected the voice of Indian youth and was not influenced by 'foreign forces'. He expressed his support for the movement, citing his own concerns about the education system and his work in improving it over the last four decades.
