Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has hit back at the notion that actors in the Hindi film industry are 'illiterate', claiming that today's actors are highly intelligent and aware. In a recent interview, Shetty expressed his concerns about the industry's treatment of failures, stating that people often make those who struggle feel like they're worthless. Shetty's comments come after his son Ahan Shetty's debut film, Tadap, failed to meet expectations at the box office. Shetty, who has been part of the industry for over three decades, believes that the perception around Hindi film actors being dumb and illiterate still persists. However, he asserts that many actors are well-read and intelligent, and that failure is often celebrated more than success in the industry. Shetty will be seen in several upcoming films, including Welcome To The Jungle and Hera Pheri 3 alongside Akshay Kumar, while his son Ahan is set to make his comeback with Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is scheduled to release on January 23.
