India's youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, Second Lt Arun Khetarpal's story is set to hit the screens in January. Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis, starring Dharmendra in his final film, has been postponed to January 1, 2026, to avoid a box-office clash with other major releases. The film, which was initially scheduled to release on December 25, will now arrive a week later. The decision to postpone Ikkis comes as the spy action thriller Dhurandhar continues to dominate the box office, breaking records for the biggest second weekend for a Hindi film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh praises the move, stating that it will give Ikkis a clear run at the box office. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a biographical war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and his heroic actions during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The film marks the theatrical debut of Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, and also features Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, and Dharmendra in his final screen appearance. With its new release date, Ikkis is set to begin a new chapter in the life of its protagonist, a true hero who died young.
