Dhurandhar Box Office Slows Down: Ranveer Singh's Film Earns Lowest in Weeks After 'The Raja Saab' Release

Ranveer Singh's spy drama Dhurandhar has finally shown signs of slowing down at the box office, after a record-breaking four weeks of earning in double digits. The film, which is set in Pakistan and spans almost four hours, has been a massive hit, collecting a whopping ₹793.75 crore nett in India since its release on December 5. According to Sacnilk.com, Dhurandhar earned ₹3.50 crore nett on its fifth Friday, a significant drop from its previous collections. The film's domestic box office earnings for the past five weeks have been ₹207.25 crore, ₹253.25 crore, ₹172 crore, ₹106.5 crore, and ₹51.25 crore. Dhurandhar has made history by becoming the highest-grossing Indian film in a single language, with domestic earnings of ₹840 crore gross, according to its makers. It has surpassed the Hindi version of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, with global figures standing at over ₹1,240 crore. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, features Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan. The high-octane thriller is set against the backdrop of significant events in India's contemporary history, including the Kandahar plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The much-anticipated sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19 next year, marking a grand Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi 2026 release in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
