Farah Khan Confirms Next Film, Sets Condition with Shah Rukh Khan for Direction

Renowned Bollywood director Farah Khan has announced her plans to start working on her next film. The choreographer-director, known for iconic films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, has been entertaining fans with her candid YouTube vlogs. In her latest vlog, Farah shared a significant update about her upcoming project while visiting actor Nakuul Mehta's home in Mumbai. Farah revealed that she intends to begin working on her next film by the end of this year. She emphasized that this is the perfect time, as her kids are soon to leave for college, allowing her to dedicate more time to her work. The director also poked fun at the online petition 'Wapas Aao Farah Khan,' which encourages her to return to direction. Regarding her YouTube vlogs, Farah clarified that she is not abandoning the platform. Instead, she wants to use the income generated from her YouTube videos to pay for her children's education. When asked if YouTube might produce her next film, Farah stated that if she decides to direct, she would only do it with Shah Rukh Khan. If not, she would wait and continue creating content for YouTube. Farah's last directorial project was Happy New Year, which released in 2014 and became a commercial success. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, and Boman Irani. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's recent film was Dunki, released in 2023. His upcoming project, King, is currently in production, with a release date yet to be announced.
