Ikkis Box Office: Agastya Nanda's War Biopic Experiences Slight Uptick, Earns ₹2 Crore on Day 6

Ikkis, a war biopic directed by Sriram Raghavan, has seen a slight increase in its box office earnings in India. The film, starring Agastya Nanda in the lead role, collected ₹1.50 crore nett on its sixth day, taking its total domestic collection to ₹23 crore nett. The film, produced under Maddock Films, has been facing a decline in earnings since its release. However, it witnessed a 13.18% occupancy rate in Hindi cinemas on Tuesday. Ikkis tells the story of Arun Khetarpal, a 21-year-old soldier who was martyred in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Agastya Nanda's performance in the film has garnered praise from his grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan. Bachchan recently attended a screening of the film and wrote a heartfelt note on his blog, praising Agastya's 'unfiltered honesty' in the role. The film, which also features late actor Dharmendra and other notable actors, has been praised for its flawless presentation, writing, and direction. Ikkis is based on the true story of Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honor, for his bravery and sacrifice.
