Kangana Ranaut has opened up about the time she was subjected to a witch hunt after her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman accused her of practicing black magic.
Speaking on a podcast, Kangana revealed that she was branded a witch and accused of drinking blood and performing black magic.
The allegations were made in 2015, seven years after Kangana and Adhyayan broke up, and she claimed that many in the industry stood up to condemn her.
Kangana, who was 26 or 27 years old at the time, said she derived strength from her career achievements, particularly the success of her film Queen, which grossed over ₹100 crore net domestically.
Adhyayan Suman later spoke up about why he pressed charges against Kangana, saying he had to hide the fact that she had been physically violent because he didn't want to hurt his mother.
Kangana Ranaut has had a successful career in Bollywood, delivering acclaimed performances in films like Fashion, Queen, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. She is a four-time National Award winner and Padma Shri recipient, and currently serves as a Member of Parliament from Mandi.
