In a fresh salvo in the ongoing estate feud, Sunjay Kapur's sister Mandhira Kapur has lashed out at his widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur, claiming that Priya is not the rightful representative of the Kapur family. Mandhira made these comments during a recent podcast appearance, where she questioned Priya's intentions and accused her of trying to erase Sunjay's children from his legacy. Mandhira Kapur, a member of the Kapur family, expressed her outrage over Priya's actions, stating that she and her family will not let their father's hard work and legacy be taken away. She challenged Priya to come forward and admit that Sunjay did not favor his children from his previous marriage to Karisma Kapoor. Mandhira also accused Priya of using their family's money to fight them in the ongoing legal battle. The dispute centers around Sunjay's multibillion-dollar estate, with his children from his previous marriage, Samaira and Kiaan, contesting Priya's claim to the estate. The children have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, alleging that the will presented by Priya is fake. The court has issued notices to Priya and her representative, asking them to respond to the allegations. Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading auto parts manufacturer, and died in June while playing a polo match in London. He was married to Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016 and had two children with her, Samaira and Kiaan. He married Priya in 2017, and the couple had a son, Azarias. Priya also has a daughter, Safira, from her previous marriage to hotelier Vikram Chatwal.
