Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar had a remarkable five-week run at the box office, but its reign has come to an end. Prabhas' latest release, The Raja Saab, has dethroned Dhurandhar after just 35 days, and it's a feat that's left the industry stunned. The Telugu superstar's horror comedy has earned over ₹6 crore net from just paid previews and early morning shows on its opening day, surpassing Dhurandhar's full-day collection from the previous day. The Raja Saab, Prabhas' first film in two years, has released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. With Vijay's Jana Nayagan postponed, the film received an added boost, with 250 additional screens in Tamil Nadu. Trade pundits predict that The Raja Saab will soar past ₹60 crore in domestic earnings on its first day. While Jana Nayagan is expected to release before Pongal, The Raja Saab is currently the number one film at the domestic box office. Directed by Maruthi, the film stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, among others. With its release ahead of the Sankranti weekend, The Raja Saab marks Prabhas' return to the family entertainer genre.
