It's not often that a big Hollywood release accommodates an Indian film, but Project Hail Mary did just that for Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The move paid off for both films as Dhurandhar 2 had a record-breaking opening week, followed by a strong start for Project Hail Mary in India.

Producer Aditya Sood credits Indian fans for their campaign to secure IMAX screens for the film, saying, 'I'm thankful, and I send love to the people who did that.' The film's global success, minting close to $500 million since its release, has also been reflected in India, earning around ₹50 crore in two weeks.

Aditya Sood believes the delayed release may have helped the film, saying, 'I don't think it's the worst thing in the world when you see the enthusiasm that the rest of the world has.' The film's plot, which brings fandoms together, has resonated with audiences worldwide.
