Rajashekar Injured on Set: Actor Sustains Serious Ankle Injury, Undergoes 3-Hour Surgery

Actor Rajashekar, 63, recently returned to filming after a brief health-related hiatus. However, his comeback was short-lived as he suffered a severe ankle injury while shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film in Medchal on November 25. The actor sustained multiple fractures to his right ankle, including a compound fracture and a bimalleolar dislocation, a condition typically associated with high-impact trauma. According to his team, Rajashekar underwent a three-hour surgery, which involved open reduction and internal fixation of his ankle bones using metal plates and wires. The doctors have recommended that he rest his injured leg for three to four weeks to prevent further complications. This is not the first time Rajashekar has suffered an ankle injury. In 1989, he suffered a similar injury to his left leg during the shooting of Magaadu. The actor was last seen in the 2023 film Extra Ordinary Man and is currently shooting for Biker alongside Sharwanand. His wife, Jeevitha, and children Shivani and Shivathmika have yet to comment on his health. Rajashekar has postponed all his film shoots until January 2026, depending on his recovery.
