Ranveer Singh's action-packed spy thriller, Dhurandhar, has taken the box office by storm, breaking a historic record that has been held by Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rise. After just 33 days of release, Dhurandhar has earned a staggering ₹831 crore net domestically, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. According to the latest figures from the makers, Jio Studios, Dhurandhar has surpassed the previous record held by Pushpa 2's Hindi dubbed version, which earned ₹821 crore. Pushpa 2, a pan-India film released in 2024, was a massive hit, but Dhurandhar has now taken its place at the top. Trade sources, however, have disputed the figure, claiming that Dhurandhar's domestic collection as of Tuesday is actually ₹782 crore, and it still needs ₹40 crore to overtake Pushpa 2. Regardless, Dhurandhar has set a new record for the highest collection by any Indian film in a single language. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates the gang and terror networks of Karachi. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in key roles. With its success, Dhurandhar has cemented its place as a must-watch in Indian cinema, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of its sequel in March 2026.
