Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar continues to shatter box office records, leaving a trail of success in its wake. The action-packed spy thriller has surpassed Simmba's lifetime collection, cementing its place as one of Ranveer's biggest hits. In a remarkable feat, Dhurandhar has achieved the highest second Friday and Saturday collections in Hindi cinema, raking in ₹32.5 crore and ₹53 crore respectively. This has pushed the film's total domestic collection to ₹292.75 crore net, with an India gross of ₹351.25 crore and overseas collection of ₹95 crore, taking its worldwide total to ₹446.25 crore. This milestone marks Dhurandhar as the second-highest-grossing film of Ranveer's career, with Padmaavat still holding the top spot. With its momentum showing no signs of slowing down, the film is rapidly approaching the ₹500 crore mark. If it maintains its pace, Dhurandhar could potentially surpass Coolie's ₹518 crore and Saiyaara's ₹569.75 crore by the end of its second week. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has been praised for its realistic portrayal of a spy's life and its action sequences. While receiving mixed reviews from critics, strong audience word-of-mouth has contributed to the film's box office success. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna, among others. Inspired by real-life events and geopolitical tensions, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2008 Mumbai attacks, Dhurandhar's success has set the stage for its sequel, scheduled to release on March 19, 2026.
