Actor and activist Renu Desai took to the Press Club in Hyderabad on Monday to raise awareness about street dog bites, but the event quickly turned contentious. Joined by actress Rashmi Gautam and director Sashi Kiran Tikka, Desai's impassioned plea for compassion towards street dogs sparked a heated exchange with the press. Desai expressed frustration over the selective concern for street dog attacks, pointing out that many more people die from mosquito bites, accidents, and violent crimes.
