Makar Sankranti, a vibrant celebration marking the sun's northward journey, has a special place in actor Shreyas Talpade's heart. As he reminisces about the festival, he is filled with nostalgia for the joyous days spent with his family, flying kites and feasting on traditional delicacies. The actor's father, an ardent fan of Makar Sankranti, would take him and his siblings on a kite-flying adventure in Vadodara, where they would fly kites till nightfall. Shreyas fondly remembers the sense of community and togetherness during those celebrations, where families would come together to share homemade tilguls and winter vegetable dishes. As a parent now, Shreyas is eager to pass down these cherished traditions to his 7-year-old daughter Aadya. This year, he plans to take her to the building where he grew up, where his friends and cousins still continue the annual Makar Sankranti celebration. Shreyas's own experience of celebrating the festival after marriage was bittersweet, as he missed seeing kites while filming in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh. With Aadya by his side, Shreyas hopes to recreate the magic of his childhood and make new memories with his family.
