Tamil action drama film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and starring Sivakarthikeyan, has managed to cross the ₹30 crore mark in India despite a decline in its box office collection. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has earned ₹30.27 crore so far. On day 1, Parasakthi collected ₹12.5 crore, followed by ₹10.10 crore on day 2, ₹3 crore on day 3, and ₹2.6 crore on day 4. On day 5, the film earned ₹2.07 crore nett in India, bringing its total collection to ₹30.27 crore. During a Pongal celebration at Union Minister L Murugan's residence, Sivakarthikeyan addressed the controversy surrounding the film. He clarified that there is 'no controversy' and that people who watch the full film understand the message and are taking it in the right way. Parasakthi is a politically charged story centered on Tamil Nadu's resistance to Hindi imposition. The film, which released on January 10, stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in the lead roles. The movie explores the tensions within a family as they navigate the Hindi imposition in Tamil Nadu.
