The hype surrounding the sequel to Dhurandhar is building up, with the much-anticipated teaser set to be attached to Border 2, hitting theaters on January 23. Ahead of its release, actor Suniel Shetty, who will make a cameo appearance in Dhurandhar 2, has shared his thoughts on the first film. In a recent interview with NDTV, Shetty praised the director, Aditya Dhar, for his bold decision to tell a long-form story on the big screen. Shetty, who has a cameo in the sequel alongside his son Ahan, lauded the performances of the cast, particularly Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh. While he considered Akshaye's portrayal 'brilliant', he was particularly impressed by Ranveer's performance as Hamza. According to Shetty, Ranveer's restraint in the role was a testament to his acting skills, making it a 'difficult thing to do' to show jingoism as a hero. Shetty expressed his excitement to see Ranveer reprise his role in the sequel, calling him 'legendary' and 'phenomenal'. Dhurandhar 2 is set to clash with another major release, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, on March 19.
