LOS ANGELES - Get ready for a magical makeover. Disney has announced its live-action adaptation of the beloved animated hit 'Tangled', with Australian actress Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim set to star as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. The 2010 animated film, featuring the iconic voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, grossed over $590 million worldwide and spawned various spin-offs. The new 'Tangled' will be directed by Michael Gracey, known for 'The Greatest Showman', and written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Croft, who has previously starred in 'Titans' and 'True Spirit', brings her acting experience to the role of Rapunzel, while Manheim, a Disney veteran from the 'Zombies' franchise, will play the charming outlaw Flynn Rider. The movie marks the latest Disney classic to receive a live-action treatment, joining the likes of 'The Lion King', 'Beauty and the Beast', and 'Aladdin'. A live-action 'Moana' is set to hit theaters this summer, while other live-action adaptations are in the works, including 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Snow White'. No release date has been announced for 'Tangled', but fans can expect a fresh take on the classic fairy tale.
