Tamil superstar Vijay is reportedly gearing up for a foray into politics through his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party ahead of the next elections. To mark the launch of his upcoming film 'Jana Nayagan,' the actor, along with music composer Anirudh Ravichander and the film's team, is scheduled to attend an audio launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 27. Ahead of the event, the Malaysian police have imposed a ban on political speeches and symbols, citing that permission was granted solely for an entertainment event. The Royal Malaysia Police (Polis Diraja Malaysia/PDRM) warned that any violations would result in strict action. According to the police, the prohibition encompasses all forms of political expression, including speeches, symbols, banners, materials, movements, convoys, and live broadcasting of political messages within the concert venue or its surrounding areas. The event organizer, Malik Streams Corporation, has confirmed that the Thalapathy Thiruvizha concert will adhere to the rules and remain an entertainment event. The police have also increased security measures, anticipating the arrival of 90,000 fans. The Jana Nayagan audio launch and Thalapathy Thiruvizha concert are scheduled to take place at Stadium Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur on December 27. The event's ticket prices have been released in three tiers, with the majority of the tickets, including all blocks in Level 2 and 24 blocks in Level 3, already sold out. Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan,' directed by H Vinoth, is set to release in theatres on January 9, 2026, for Pongal. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju.
