Former Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has died at 43 after his body was recovered from a river in Washington state.
His brother, Bear, confirmed the news and revealed the possible cause of death, saying it may have been self-inflicted.
Bear also shared that their brother Noah helped recover Matt's body during the search effort.
Attention has turned to Matt's final online activity, with concerning posts resurfacing nearly two years after he discussed his living situation and personal struggles.
Matt had been open about his long battle with addiction, which his family said remained a major challenge throughout much of his adult life.
He had previously entered rehab and attempted to rebuild his life after multiple setbacks, but recently fell off the wagon.
Matt was a fan favorite on Alaskan Bush People, which followed the Brown family's unconventional off-grid lifestyle in Alaska and Washington state.
He is survived by his mother, Ami Brown, and six siblings, including his father Billy Brown, who passed away in 2021.
