Former CDC director Robert Redfield has issued a stark warning that Ebola could become the world's next major pandemic, predicting it will spread to three more African nations.

Redfield believes the outbreak in Africa will expand to Tanzania, southern Sudan, and Rwanda, and that airborne transmission is 'inevitable.'

The CDC reports 536 suspected cases, 105 probable cases, 34 confirmed cases, and approximately 134 suspected deaths from the outbreak in the Congo and Uganda.

Redfield calls the outbreak a 'significant public health international concern' and warns of 'disruption.'

The CDC and U.S. Customs and Border Protection will conduct 'enhanced public health screening' for U.S.-bound citizens who have visited the affected countries within 21 days.
