British Transport Police are responding to a train collision north of London, where one person has died and several others have been injured.
Unverified footage posted to social media appears to show two East Midlands Railway trains colliding, with one running into the other.
A major incident has been declared, with officers and emergency services attending the scene.
The East of England Ambulance Service has reported 11 people with very serious injuries, 22 with serious injuries, and 56 with minor injuries.
The trains remain upright on the track, according to posted images.
